Port-forwarding issue

Renuka Bhavani
In my Vagrantfile, I have setup port-forwarding as:

config.vm.network :forwarded_port, host: 4567, guest: 9080

My VM is CentOS. I have setup WAS 8.5 on it. Running the WAS on 9080. Unable to see the defualt WAS screen at my host machine at : http://http://127.0.0.1:4567/

Please advice.

Re: Port-forwarding issue

I don't know what WAS is, but from what I understand that should
properly setup port forwarding. On my VMs (using the VirtualBox
provider) this syntax works fine and forwards the ports.

What provider are you using?

Perhaps there is another problem, have you verified that you can reach
WAS from inside the VM on http://127.0.0.1:9080? If so, have you
verified that port 4567 is not already taken on your own machine?

Hello,

Maybe the WAS console is just bound to localhost in your box but not to the interface the forward is directed to. Which would be eth0 in most cases.
