Bizarre behavior with latest 1.4

Vincent Fulco
Since d'loading from remote sites wasn't working, saved .box locally then tried to add, init and startup.  Dialogue below is generally self-explanatory but I am being told the box exists after I add it but then it can't be found for vagrant up? TIA for your assistance. V.

sudo vagrant box add ubuntuserver1210 /foo/VirtualBoxVMs/gswd-vagrant/Ubuntu-Server-12.10-amd64-Minimal.box
Downloading with Vagrant::Downloaders::File...
Copying box to temporary location...
Extracting box...
Cleaning up downloaded box...
The box you're attempting to add already exits:

Name: ubuntuserver1210
Provider: virtualbox

foo/VirtualBoxVMs/gswd-vagrant$ vagrant box list
There are no installed boxes! Use `vagrant box add` to add some.

foo/VirtualBoxVMs/gswd-vagrant$ sudo vagrant init ubuntuserver1210

A `Vagrantfile` has been placed in this directory. You are now
ready to `vagrant up` your first virtual environment! Please read
the comments in the Vagrantfile as well as documentation on
`vagrantup.com` for more information on using Vagrant.

foo/VirtualBoxVMs/gswd-vagrant$ vagrant up
Bringing machine 'default' up with 'virtualbox' provider...
There are errors in the configuration of this machine. Please fix
the following errors and try again:

vm:
* The box 'ubuntuserver1210' could not be found.

Re: Bizarre behavior with latest 1.4

Mitchell Hashimoto
Vagrant uses the home directory when you use it to store some state. When you run "sudo" your home directory is changing so the box probably exists there but doesn't exist wen you don't run Vagrant with sudo.

Best,
Mitchell

Thanks.  For now that seems to have done the trick.
